We decided to show our daughter a real-life enactment of Humpty Dumpty. She is three years old and was born with congenital rubella syndrome. Despite the many challenges, she has such a drive to experience everything in life. She learns through music and dance, and we are always asked to act out her favourite songs and nursery rhymes with her. She has the most amazing imagination and her love for the world, good and bad, makes me realize what a precious gift we lose out on by rushing through our lives.
“All the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put Humpty together again!”
Don’t you wish you could see the world through the eyes of a child?
I think we need to focus on trying to put the pieces back together, rather than moving on to bigger and better things. Life is so short and you can take many lessons from this video. The lesson I love most is that there is joy and pain in every situation, but through the pain, you need to put the pieces back together and continue finding beauty.
